Gloria Alford, Jaded Princess, 1977.I saw this piece at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History yesterday. I took my Woodworking class there as part of a field trip. This "jade burial suit" is actually made from computer chips, way back in 1977, by artist Gloria Alford.
The suit is exquisitely constructed, with the computer chips connected with tiny wire, and thin lead patterning in some places.
